Patti, Great Question!
The Oaks and Pather Trail golf course is right around the corner from the school. They are off of N Millbend and Grogans Mill. You can't miss it.

I would say 5-10 minutes, but of course traffic can drastically affect that. Does that help?

Hi Stephan,

I am a real estate agent with Keller Williams in The Woodlands. The Woodlands is a master planned community that offers a large variety of shopping and local amenities.

Take a look at video below. It gives a great ariel view and overview of the Woodlands Texas.

If I can help you with anything else, let me know.

Yes, that is accurate. It is because this zip code includes the gated community of Carlton Woods. If you aren't familiar with the area, Carlon Woods homes are in the millions of dollars and sports figures, etc. make their home there. However, I have a home for sale within walking distance, but outside of Carlton Woods, in this zipcode and also within The Woodlands. It is for sale for $295,000. The Woodlands ammenities for the parks, and pools, and hike and bike path, and exemplary schools are the same for both areas. If you would like to see the beautiful home that I have listed which includes a tropical in ground pool and spa, please let me know. The MLS is 94236894. Violent crime is not really an issue but there is a lot of vandalism of public property and drug use, mostly among teens. For example several parks around the Woodlands where burnt down a few years ago by vandals and there is some graffiti although the Woodlands management is very good about cleaning that up, such as the large phallic symbol that was on the Bear Branch Reservoir dam which I believe was removed after only a few days. As for the drugs just like any upper class suburban area there are kids with money and nothing to do. Although a minority, some find a solution with drugs ranging from marijuana to LSD. Although these crimes are mostly quiet and hidden away occasionally a bust will be made or users arrested for possession, sale or DWI. ... more

Well on the lawn part, I would have to say that The Woodlands has one of most consistantly enforeced deed restrictions ever.

I would not say there is much difference in the zip codes as there would be by neighborhood each villiage has a named section and those sections can differ in house style and price range significantly.

As far as architecture again these named sections are run the same style since they were built about the same time.

And a side note, retail shoping is usually buried in the trees so if you are in The Woodlands at night looking for shoping, you better know where you are going before you leave because you won't find it by acident that is for sure.
