Hi Doreen,

The best way to assess any neighborhood is to drive thru it at various times --- weekdays, weekends, evenings. You will gain insight into the neighborhood and you may get a chance to stop a neighbor or two to ask their opinion about living there. As an additional source of information, you can always contact the local sherrif dept and ask them about statistics for the general area. These methods would be best used for any neighborhood that someone is considering. Last but not least, drive the neighborhood in a rain storm and see if there is any low spots...hopefully they won't be at the address you are considering. For more information about homes selling in a particular neighborhood, please give me a call at 407-421-3002

Dan: Creating a profile on www.city-data.com will allow you to ask questions like this in a public format that supports this type of dialog. You can also check with the local Police Station there to find out what the crime statistics are there. And...for information regarding the schools go to www.greatschools.net to find out what the school ratings are.

Good Luck!
