There are costs that will vary by property.
1 - Unlike any other place on earth, infrastructure cost are not in the price of the home. There is a 30 year bond to cover this costs. It will vary, but the rule of thumb is, the newer the home the higher the Bond. Current bonds on NEW homes is $20000 + with an annual cost of the bond around $1400 a year. Some, not many, choose to pay off the bond, but the bond is not a factor in pricing homes. Bond PAID or OWED will make almost no difference in the comparisons of homes. Paid makes the home more sellable but NOT more valuable.
2 - There is an annual maintenance cost for common areas, pools, recreation centers which is the Community Development District ( CDD ) fee. This fee ranges from zero in Lake county and from a few hundred to a thousand dollars a year for new home in Sumter and Marion counties..
