Hi Greg,

You're right about development in the "Nine Oaks Lane" area being relatively new. It's a nice area located about a mile east of a nice open air mall and on the south side of the city. I don't find any crime data for that street either, but rates Collierville as having a "low" crime rate. Collierville also has highly rated public schools including elementary, middle school, and a high school. My wife and I live only a few miles east of Nine Oaks Lane in the small city of Piperton TN, and we love it here. We shop in Collierville all the time and like to eat out at several of the restaurants in the open air mall area. We relocated here from Portland Oregon and are quite familiar with the challenges of relocating to a new community. Let me know if I can help make your transition easier. ... more

You should take a look at 301 El Grande Ln. While the neighborhood does not have a pool the Lenoir City Pool (open year around) is only about a mile away and you you not paying high maintenance fees to a community association to maintain amenities you may not be using! :) It might be beneficial next time to actually type in the question you have about the property. As it stands, the address is a property for rent featuring 2 bedroom units.

I work near the Cambridge Downs neighborhood and traffic is heavy in the morning and in the late afternoon during rush hour in that area. Otherwise it's not too bad. The neighborhood is lovely and very convenient to shopping, businesses, and restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful country feel, this would not be the neighborhood for you; but if you like convenience and don't mind being located near a busy main street, the Cambridge Downs neighborhood and homes are beautiful. ... more

Delores, there are good homes available in the Rhodes College area, ranging from $100K up to $1 million. While MATA leaves something to be desired as an effective transportation system, the neighborhoods you would be interested in are close to North Parkway, which is a major east-west bus route, so at least you would have good transportation to Downtown. Also there are bike lanes along most of N. Parkway if you bike.
The general neighborhood of Midtown is very progressive and neighbors advocate quality of life issues. Please feel free to contact me about your housing needs and with any questions you have about the Rhodes area, Midtown or Memphis in general.

It is definitely simpler and easier to get to downtown from Collierville than Germantown because of the access to Hwy 385 also know as Bill Morris expressway and/or Nonconna expressway. With that said, both are excellent communities offering good schools, both public and private and great community activities. I personally like Collierville better because I think it offers a better selection of properties and a better opportunity for long term appreciation of property. Germantown is locked in that the city has no place for expansion. Germantown is surrounded by Memphis or it's reserve areas on the north, south and west, and by Collierville on the east.

I work in both of these areas so I know both well. Let me know if I can provide additional information.

The Music City Star only goes from Nashville to Lebanon---that's the only train service we have presently. Nashville does have plans for future expansion of the railway system. The bus does go to White House but not the train. Here's a link for the Nashville Transit Authority. ... more
