When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local authorities with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

It's best to check in with the boroughs/townships to get the specific rules since the zoning and ordinances vary from town to town.

Here's are the websites for Telford and Souderton borough with contact info:

http://telfordborough.org/
http://soudertonborough.org/

Please let me know if you need any assistance finding duplex's or homes. I know of a few in the area, I'd be glad to show them to you sometime!

Thanks,

Becky, you cannot get into the Montco Program without a pre-approval. If you would like to work with someone who knows and understands the workings of this program, let me know.

Becky,
Greg was right about the program available in Montgomery County. They have specific requirements that you can review on their website. But don't forget about the $8000.00 tax credit that is now being offered to first time homebuyers as well.
I am from the Souderton area and in today's buyer's market homes are more affordable than ever and the interest rates can't be beat!
Best of luck to you and let me know if you need a local Realtor to assist you.
Sincerely,
