Where Do Buyers Seek Advice on Places To Live?

Asked by William, 18951 Tue Jan 8, 2008

With the internet changing the way people research and gather information, buyers are no longer simply trusting their realtor to help them pick the best location for a move. Many get a second opinion from internet sites, where they can pull demographics and crime data and school rankings from various websites.

Many internet savvy people will consult forums and ask questions like "I'm moving to XYZ county in PA - what's the best town to live in?" It's a way out-of-state buyers can get viewpoints and opinions in addition to their realtors input.

Besides Trulia and Zillow, can anybody suggest a list of these forum/info/blog websites that help provide information about a particular area. Especially interested in "interactive" websites where buyers can ask questions and have them answered/discussed on a public forum.

Thanks for any help!
