I have someone's SScard and can read the # but not the name. How can I find the name to return it?

Your best bet is to simply throw the card away... (do everyone a favour and shred it first).... nobody is going to give you advice on how to figure out the name to the number you have. That would be tantamount to telling you how to steal that person's identity and use it for illegal purposes.

You might try just mailing it to the Social Security office with a note that you found it. If you cant read the name on it, then that card isn't much good to the owner. They will need to have a new one re-issued.

Try doing a Google search on the number. It's surprising how many social security numbers are associated with a person.
