Hi there Stixx1213,

Basically the answer is yes. If your children are in childcare or day care, you can usually choose between any school that your facility services. When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local authorities with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Why wouldn't you listen to your friends? If they are good friends, they will have your back. We have had to move a lot so we have had to rely on other cop families to tell us where to buy, and they have always steered us right. My husband is in law enforcement-he would never let us live in the south end-especially with kids. MAYBE if it's close in proximity to Proctor or 6th/division-as in one or 2 streets south, but I seriously doubt it. There's a reason the rent/mortgages are higher in the North end-because it's safer. You can find a good deal there, but it's better to get a smaller place that is safe and home-y as opposed to being fearful for your your personal safety all the time. ... more

Everett,
This is a bank owned condo which is being sold as is, not repairs. Another unit in the complex indicates the dues are $275 per month, but this may not be the same for all units.
The MLS # is 562196 if you want to look it up on other sites, or I've attached a link to pictures and additional information on my site below.

Barbara Mcmahon, SRES,SFR,AHS answered:
What is your general investment strategy? I think you need to have a business and marketing plan as an investor. From your question, it doen't sound like you have done enough "homework" to be in a position to purchase a condo. Investing in real estate is a business, not any different than any other. You can certainly make money investing, but you can lose it just as fast, as well as your other assets. Be sure to build a team around you of a realtor that has experience with buying and selling investment properties, a lender that has the same experience, CPA, financial planner, etc. ... more
