They are over $100 per month (I live here). You get very little for your money. There is a pool and that's pretty much it. The parks become 3rd world soccer fields on the weekends. You could definitely own a second home in Surprise while you lived and worked in New York. There are of course tax implications to this by owning a second home. If you aren't planning on living in it for a few years what is your plan to maintain it and keep it safe until then? Will family live in it? Will it be rented? Actually the below answer is incorrect. There are 5 HOA's in Surprise Farms depending on which section you are in. Each section is managed by a different company with its own set of CC&Rs. Surprise Farms itself does not have a Community Center, Although in Fall 2015 we will have a dog park, basketball court, splash pad and skate park.
