Don't move here, then! I am a female that has lived in Roxbury for most of my life. There is crime in the neighborhood but I've never had an issue. Gentrification is sadly becoming a huge problem in this neighborhood. Yuppies from all over who have no understanding of the culture or respect for the people move here to drain the resources and push people who aren't scared of the neighborhood away. If you are coming to Roxbury and are afraid of the people you're going to be living around, do not move here. Trust me the community won't respond to your timid leeching. ... more

For some counties:
mouse over Search Criteria and Click on the search "item" you want to use.
To find recorded land info, click on Recorded Date Search under recorded land.

The registered section may return other results.
Clicking on the line of a doc will open the data on the rt side of the page.

Three dogs...okay, definitely you have to check out Callahan Park. As an owner of a Golden we spend many a weekend up there. You will have to check it out when you get here. What price range are you looking at? I'd suggest
looking at the MetroWest area of Boston - many of the towns do have the commuter rail to Boston if that was
something of interest to you too. If I can be of assistance please reach out to me. You can contact me at
nancy.butterly@ziprealty 0r by phone at 508-309-0309. Enjoy your dogs!

Hi,
Brokers are not supposed to give their opinions about the safety of an area. I'm sure you have read the good advice below to check the crime stats and local police. Just want to add that I live in Roslindale with two children and so far it has been great! Convenient to the city, and plenty of programs for children through the Roslindale Community Center, plus many more programs available in West Roxbury and Hyde Park for Roslindale residents.
Best of luck,
Mary

Dear Possible Renter,

If you are local, I recommend visiting the local police precinct or visiting this web site:

http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/

Real Estate Professionals are barred from directly commenting on crime rates in specific areas because it is considered 'steering' consumers away from neighborhoods.

Let me know if this information is useful and if you want further information or access to rental properties in Charlestown.

Thanks, Rhonda

The hurricanes we get are mostly big wind storms.
The current one, Sandy, may come ashore with wind and rain and push things around, but Katrina will not happen here.
