Too long...Beware!!! It will take a great toll on you after awhile and even though the houses seem lower priced there are many hidden costs that you will not realize until you're here. Owners are responsible for everything not like in NY where municipalities take care of it with your tax dollars. i.e. trash pick up, septics and wells, no natural gas in some areas and oil costs in winter can be super high. Ms. Wilson

Presume you are speaking of Pocono Medical Center. Your school choices would probably be either East Stroudsburg or Stroudsburg. Both have good reputations.

Our office has several homes that might be ideal for you and your family, including my personal residence which was recently listed at $264,900. It is part of Olde Mill Run and is convenient to everything, including the hospital, shopping and public recreational areas. It is literally around the corner from the three school campus on Chipperfield Drive (Stroudsburg). The MLS # is 12-5906

If interested, I would be happy to send you information on this and several other possibilities. My email is

Good Luck

I like to think that Stroudsburg is a place that is big enough to have top names in shopping and dining, but small enough to promote/support "mom and pop" shops; it is large enough to have a variety of activities for the children, but small enough that the teachers still remember their students years later; and it is just the right distance to shopping, as it is to leisure and outdoor adventures. ... more

When you see East Stroudsburg or Stroudsburg, this is a mailing zip code and the area is huge for both. You really need a good street map that shows the zips and communities to get a good understanding of the area and figuring out where a home is located. If you are looking to buy and need a Realtor that knows the area and listens to what you want in a home, call me to get started.
