The same reasons as many towns have lots of homes for sale-moving up, moving down, divorce, marriage, birth, death, lottery winning, size, quality, distance to job, foreclosure, short sale etc...
Buyers get more house for their money here, so it should be a Village to consider. Come check us out. My office is near the border of Streamwood and Schaumburg. 847-274-3193

Your Realtor should be able to make all the showing arrangements for you and you do not even have to pay him... Why go it alone?

There's so much that goes into the final price of a building. Especially with a busy area like Bridgeport, Chicago. Honestly, you need to get your place looked at with a market analysis that can compare the area with the style, quality, and amenities that the place offers. They need to look at the age of the wear-and-tear issues too. Everything goes into account when they come up with a price. That goes for the material the building is made out of too, which in this case is brick. The condition of the brick is another thing that you'd want to look at for the exterior curb-appeal. Good luck!

If the appraisal comes in higher than your offer amount, that's great news! You'll have some instant equity. The bank will base your loan amount on the sales price, not the appraisal amount, however. They won't loan you more than you're actually paying for the home, if this makes sense. If on the other hand, the appraisal comes in lower than your offer amount, the seller will have to come down in price or you'll have to make up the difference in cash. Best of luck to you! ... more

How do you know your credit score is low? Have you talked to a lender or checked your score lately. If it's above 620 you should be able to buy or rent.

Hey Tiana ... it happens to many people and as long as you can show a potential landlord that you have turned things around and are on the right path now, or explain what happened in 2011, a lot of good people out there will be willing to give you a chance. We are all human. Best of luck! ... more

I have seen a lot of sales of the detached homes in this subdivision closing from about 170,000 to about $230,000. There are about 9 different nice floor plans and sizes vary, along with the locations. Some are on the golf course. They were built by Centex in the late 80's. It is one of my favorite Streamwood subdivisions. My office is close by and I have been selling these since they were built. I have the floor plans if you need them.

I have sold and rented a lot of these townhomes near Wisteria in Southgate Manor subdivision and nearby Streamwood Green. You can get a good value and a nice modern townhome for the money.
You should download the sex offender locator app for free and check with the police department for questions about past crimes.

My office is about on the border of these 2 towns at Barrington and Schaumburg Roads.
I show homes in both these towns all the time(for the last 29 years). Officially, Realtors are advised to refer these kind of questions to the experts at the police stations. Lending questions usually go to lenders, inspection questions to inspectors etc....
Realtors are best at housing questions and general info.

There are many neighborhoods, subdivisions, and areas of Streamwood that do not have any homeowner association fees. These areas are comprised of single-family homes. Every townhome development in Streamwood (as well as other areas) will have association fees.

Happy to help you find the right property! Just let me know if I can be of futher help to you!

you are driving around, and you see a house with a FOR RENT sign on the lawn. And the Owner is cutting the grass. You engage him, telling him your situation, being open and honest. Tell him your credit is in the dumps and why.
You might be surprised.
If he kicks you off his lawn; you probably didn't want him for your landlord anyway.
