I would check with a different lender. Some lenders have different requirements with it comes to these restrictions. Call me and I will give you the number of someone who could probably loan on this.

I would not imagine that it will affect your ability to obtain a loan. However, it will go into the debt/income calculation. Have you thought about a Conventional loan with 5% down or if you are a military vet you could quality for no money down. I hope this helps! ... more

You will need a Realtor to make offers. Find a good one in your area and let them know about your goals and situation.

They will be able to guide you through the entire process. You will want to make sure your earnest money and pre-approval are solid and ready to go. Many bank owned homes right now are going fast and some above asking price.

I would imagine that they could purchase another home, but they would need to re-finance the Reverse Mortgage into a Conventional mortgage as a reverse mortgage is only allowed for an owner occupied home. Even if they paid cash for the new home, they would need to notify their reverse mortgage lender of their move. Hope this helps!

I currently have a home that I will be listing on the border of Stow and Cuyahoga Falls that may be eligible for a land contract or rent to own. I am certain the homeowner would require 10% down. Will this be an issue? If not, I will send you information.
