We graduate in Dec then move to TX so we don't want to be stuck with extra rent on top of a house payment. We do have a dog so that adds an element.

Dear Martha,
I see you have posted this question several weeks ago. Have you found a home yet? Most homes that are listed For Sale are intended just for that. However, the rent to own option would be up to the individual seller of the property if they would be willing to consider.

When you find a home you are interested in, feel free to let me know and I will be happy to find out the terms for you. Good luck with your home search!

Hi Dalton,
This is a very interesting question. These would be 2 very different life styles. Living in the city of Stillwater in a neighborhood setting vs. buying a home on land in the country. Is Tax Rate the most important factor to you or style of living? If you have any interest in learning more about Stillwater Oklahoma homes for sale or the awesome community of Stillwater please let me know, I would appreciate the opportunity to assist you further.

Otherwise, the previous answer below has said it all about the Tax Rate.
Best wishes,
Cari R.

The town has a population of about 20K and when school is in session it about doubles... but it still manages to have the charm of a small town. Stillwater is a college town with a tremendous amount of turn over every year. The average length of home ownership is 4.5 years. We are currently in a sellers market, we have very few foreclosures. Most of our homes directly in Stillwater are in neighborhoods. One foreclosure is 4619 Pinto Drive, Stillwater for $149,900 (4 bed/2bath)1982 sq ft. Another home to check out would be 1702 E. McElroy beautiful yard on one acre for $135,000. Call me 405-747-6950 or e-mail me at alane@c21global.com if I can be of help. Alane LeGrand, Century 21 Global, Stillwater, Oklahoma ... more
