Are you buying or renting? If you're buying, you can ask your agent to ask the listing agent what average utilities are. If you're renting, can you ask the landlord? Seems like it would be kind of impossible for anyone here to give you a clear answer, without knowing the property, the age, the size, etc. Also, if you're buying, there is likely an HOA fee -- what does that cover? Sometimes it includes some utilities like water & sewer. If you're renting, your rent may include certain utilities (like water & sewer) but not electric or gas. You need to talk to the people who would know these things. Good luck! ... more

Hi. We have seen Stamford grow tremendously during our almost 30 years of real estate sales and rentals in the Fairfield County market. We have been extremely successful in selling several condos and renting several properties in the downtown area.

With the increased development of new luxury apartment and condo buildings along with an tremendous wave of new fabulous restaurants, the Stamford Downtown Special Services (DDS have made sure that the residents of and the visitors to Stamford enjoy a safe and pleasurable experience in downtown.

The Ambassador Program are hired to bicycle downtown and offer assistance to people in need of assistance.

The Beautification Project of downtown Stamford has been ongoing with the near completion of the Mill River
project.

The always popular summer concert series, LIVE AT 5 and JAZZ IN JULY have been most successful with top name entertainment along with local musicians and have seen the restaurants at full capacity during these events.

Stamford has put itself on the map for being a safe, fun and vibrant small city less than 1 hour from NYC. Real estate prices have slowly risen over the years and now are considered stable.
Consider giving us a call if you have any further questions regarding Stamford or the surrounding area.

We are glad to be Realtors in such a diverse community!

Hi,
This is a complex that originally opened just as the economy was tanking so many of the units were leased instead of selling. The complex has been offering the units for sale the past year or so at a very good sale's price where little negotiating on the price is available because of the fair market value offered.

The complex is situated in an up and coming neighborhood where the city is considering building another train station near the complex (under the I95 underpass). It's a great investment as the 2 bedroom units have been leasing there from $2200-$2400/month. I've showed the complex numerous times and have assisted my clients in purchasing and renting units there.
Feel free to contact me with any questions atr 203-536-4802.

Thank you and best wishes!

Hello Fitnessh9c,
The closest train station to the property you referenced on Hope St. would be the Glenbrook neighborhood train station in Stamford. It's located off of Church St. and Glenbrook Rd.
The main station is situated downtown off Washington Blvd. near I95 between exits 7 and 8. There is also a station in the Springdale area on Hope St. near Largo Drive.

Here is the link to Metro North's schedule which includes the New Haven line:

Hope this is helpful.

Hello Good Charlotte,
There are no photos of 68 Saint George Ave. in Stamford because the home currently is not for sale. Old expired information about the home still exists on the Trulia site for some reason even though the photos are removed.

Laura Feghali answered:
Hello Concernedmom,
Zip code 06902 covers a broad area of Stamford that includes the downtown area, west side, south end, the Cove area near the water, and Glenbrook neighborhood on the east side of Stamford. These areas have many condominium complexes as well as multi-family homes that are suitable for renting. Other areas of Stamford do not offer as many rental opportunities so this could be a factor as to why it appears that rent prices are less costly within this zip code.
I know the Stamford rental market very well so please, feel free to contact me with any other questions.
Good luck!

Hi Summer, I am supprised that an agent would answer your question directly. This is a real NO-NO. Agents are not suposed to give direct answers to questions about an areas crime rate, schools prefomance, ethnic make up, etc.....

What they should have done is referred you to unbiased information where you can decide for yourself. In this case you can find the answer to your question at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stamford,_Connecticut

Good Luck and good hunting!!!
