Do you have specific schools or neighborhoods you would like to focus on? Also, what is your price range. In Texas Most Owners are looking for someone to qualify for a home to make at least 3X the gross income. So, for example if you make 3K per month, then you qualify for 1K in rent. That's the minimum criteria we see most looking for.

Since you're posting under "Rental Basics" I assume your a tenant and you're vacating your rental property? Or are you the seller? If you're the renter, you should absolutely be there at final walk through. Hopefully you have a landlord/tenant checklist from when you moved in? The final walk through is when a landlord can come back to you and say you did XYZ damage and they want to keep your deposit. If you have proof that the damage was there when you moved into the place, you should be okay. ... more

Depending on the particular house, you might be saving $700 in property taxes, so if you are moving there to save money, you really have to ask yourself how much. If living there will cause you to burn an extra $15 a week in gas (or $8 a week per car for two cars), you'd actually come out behind.. ... more

Although this property was foreclosed by HUD, it is no longer on the market. At present, it is in a PENDING status which means a contract has been accepted. Consequently, unless the contracts falls through, this property is not available.

The property was FOR SALE.

In this market if a home is appealing, in great condition and readily available, it is not unusual for this quick turn around with an offer.

If Stafford is your area of interest, it is best to have a Realtor who knows the area and since you are not in this area right now, the Realtor can preview listings for you to narrow the search. Given your needs and wants in a property helps the Realtor shorten the search for you.
