This is an old question and probably not worth replying to, but if anyone is currently considering Bridgestone/BS Lakes, I can tell you from 16 years of experience living on the first street in Bridgestone less than 200 yards from Bridgestone Lakes. Crime has not touched us once, even of the most minor variety. Our block had a break-in a few years a go while the residents were away, and we see a few scattered minor thefts-from-vehicles but overall it's a very safe and quiet neighborhood. A great idea is to go directly to the source. You can call the police station ( non emergency number) in that area and they will give you the crime statistics.

There are a few great resources around. I think it is best to contact your Community Resource Officer or CRO at the police department. You can also check out http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/ which provides stats based on the FBI uniform crime reports. You might also visit the FBI stats site at http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/ucr.htm#cius. Another place to checkout is http://www.Crimeweb.net . Hope this is of you to you. ... more
