Pjbroker,

I don't know whether you have relocated here or whether you'd like to hear an additional comment from a realtor but I can tell you that Southlake is nice. I, too, once lived in CA, so I know how high the home priced is compared to Texas. The good thing as you know it, the property tax in CA is a lot lower. However, having said that, you can always counter your concern by purchasing a smaller home in or outside Southlake. From my own personal experience, I can get 3 really nice homes here for one home in CA home so the tax doesn't bother me.

There are other nice areas besides Southlake, and that translated to many more choices here for you compared to CA. I know that because I've experienced it myself and actually I'm glad that relocate here, not to mention how easy access to medical care is over here compared to CA.

If you still have questions and would like to chat with me, I'd be happy to share my own experience with you.

Take care,

Susie Kay
