Please tell me what constitutes the concept of good for YOU? Price? Financing? Quality of properties available? What is good for another person may not be good for you so if i knew your goals I would be able to give you and show you through statistics and analysis of individual listings.
I forgot to address the second part of your question. I'm not convinced that property values will be affected all that much by the rennovation, simply because the Arcadia area is already home to some very high end Real Estate (Wayne Gretzky, anyone?). The area just south of Arcadia (Baja Arcadia, if you will) might get a slight bounce, but I doubt it would be overly dramatic. It was necessary in my opinion to remain an area attractive to families, but the bar is just so high alreafy that I don't see prices being drastically affected. When Cochise Elementary in McCormick Ranch was rebuilt several years ago, I was very interested in the affect it would have on values.
