Since you live nearby some of the big local offices, why not walk into one and ask the receptionist to let you speak with an available Realtor about it. Ask them about the market, paperwork, experience, comps and if it feels right, then ask them to come over and see the house in person. ... more

Hello Sarizvi01;

I hope you found someone to work with but If not please keep me in mind. I'm familiar with Skokie having grown up there myself.

Currently there are 11 townhomes/ duplex type properties for sale in the Skokie with basements of some sort that could meet your needs depending on the price range and area.

Please feel free to give me a call if you have not found an agent and we can shop!
I love what I do and it shows.

Thanks

Why not connect with a local Realtor, I know Skokie very very very well. And work with that one trusted
Realtor so that you will receive via e-mail all new listings daily in your price range and location...
There are many 2 and 3 bedroom properties, it all depends on your price range.

Also I strongly recommend to you to work with a Realtor, in order to get pre-approved, ready to make an offer, once you find the right property and also to have an advocate for your interests on your side.
There are many things to consider when buying a home, from finding the right one, to offering the right price, to negotiation the best terms, and then coordinating all that needs to be done, including work closely with the lender the inspector, and so much more...

Let me know if I can help ...

Your discretionary income most likely is lowering your purchase power. Pay down debt.
Call a good mortgage officer to help your understand what you can afford. If he says good and is able to give you a pre-approval letter for so much now you have something to shop with. However pay down that debt and save for 20% down payment. ... more
