Welcome to NJ (if your still coming). Somerset County is in the top 20 Best Counties to live according to a recent Forbes ranking:
"16. Somerset County, N.J.
Established by charter in 1688, Somerset is one of America's oldest--and wealthiest--counties. Due to a host of pharmaceutical companies headquartered in central Jersey and limitless employment opportunities across the river in New York, Somerset boasts a per-capita income of $43,407, among the best on our list. Unfortunately, that won't go too far in Somerset: the median home price is $457,000."
Although the rise in unemployment in NYC and the belt tightening of the pharmaceutical companies has effected the area, Montgomery High School is much sought after.
Take a look at my October 17th blog entitled "So what's so great about NJ"
I may give you a better understanding of the local areas contributions and background.
