Tiburon has a small downtown as the population is not that large, spread out over a relatively large area. There are two shopping areas, a smaller center called The Cove, and the primary downtown area on the edge of the bay. Downtown has an old seaside town feel, with older buildings along Main Street, many of them there to cater to the many tourists who visit, but there is a wide enough variety to provide services to residents as well. There are some great coffee shops, and a variety restaurants abound, with seafood restaurants being the predominant flavor. Most of them you'll find along Main Street, with a handful perched on the water with views of San Francisco.

There are 3 supermarkets within the city limits as well as proximity to other gourmet and organic supermarkets within a driving distance of 5 - 7 minutes. While the farmers market is not active within the city limits, it is within driving distance of about 5 minutes.

There are lots of local shops and restaurants that appeal to locals and tourists. Within a few miles are attractive shopping centers with very good retail anchor tenants.
