When you buy a home in a growing community like Frisco, school boundaries change with the growth. We lived in the same house in Frisco for nine years when our Son was little. Because of the growth, he attended three different elementary schools, and our residential address didn't change once. Schools just went up closer and closer to our house. Kids are resilient. Give them the benefit that they can adjust very well, and pat yourself on the back for buying a home in an excellent area that focuses heavily on the importance of our children's education. Talk to the administration office and see if there is any flexibility.
I live in Prosper, and we are an open district. We moved out here specifically for the schools, which had an awesome reputation in 2005 when we made the move. We have not been disappointed. Our Son has gotten commended scores on several state tests in the formative years between middle school and high school, and he is part of the most amazing athletics and drama departments we could imagine.
Have a blessed day!
