What do you mean by Foreclosure Information? We don't have information about the homes being foreclosed, like why or things like that. If they are listed for sale we have information about the house, but the foreclosure process is not known to us and is a legal process when the owner defaults of the mortgage. Once the foreclosure is over there is a new owner, following the auction, and often the bank takes it back and then owns it. Then the foreclosure is over and it is now a bank owned home owned by the bank and sold by the bank. The bank lists it with a Realtor on the local MLS and any other Realtor can show it and write an offer to the bank to buy it. ... more

Don Tepper answered:

Don't pay to "join" a site. Those sites are not accurate, up-to-date, or complete. Besides, there's no need to.

Virtually any foreclosure that's for sale is listed on the MLS. (In some cases, lenders will list them on their own websites.) For those listed on the MLS--and, again, that's just about all of them--any Realtor can access that information and provide it to you for free. The specific lender websites are free, too.

Under no circumstances should you pay for foreclosure information.

Hope that helps.

You have to be careful that some properties appear to be listings and quote a price that is not an asking price, They are ads for Realty Trac where the house is in the foreclosure process. This one happens to be for sale but most are not. The amounts you see are often what they owe or what they are behind. Some amounts are say 143 k but the feed did not pick up the K part ... more
