Here in Southeast Florida, it seems that there are more retail conveniences than there are residential dwellings. Therefore, no matter where you live, you will be surrounded with relatively convenient retail shopping plazas and open shopping centers (where stores are). Grocery supermarkets (Publix being the dominant store) are all within 2 miles to each other. Gas stations, drug stores (CVS and Walgreen), McDonalds, Burger Kings, Taco Bell, Wendy's are on every major intersections of the United States. Banks are now popping up everywhere like mushrooms. Schools are also everywhere, all approximately within 2 - 3 miles to each other. Hospitals and enclosed malls, there is usually one within 15 minutes drive to wherever you will live, no matter where (unless you find a place that is very close to a mall or a hospital) but doctor offices and dentists are also everywhere in every shopping plaza or shopping center. Then you get the national- chain, non fast food restaurants who are usually around on all major artery roads and also surrounding shopping malls or indoor malls.
