If you are in West Pasco County, it is a safe bet that there are sinkholes near the address. What is of most importance is, whether your (future) immediate neighbors had/have one. Think of a Tic Tac Toe board. The house you want to buy is the center square. If one of the other 8 boxes has/had a sinkhole, that is when you concerns. Here is a resource on it to answer questions by Experts in the field as well as a database of known sinkholes.

Rule of thumb, if you can not stick a coin (thin side) into the crack you are concerned about, it probably is not a sinkhole but plain old setting. If a coin can, or the edges of the cracks are uneven, than you are more likely to have a sinkhole. But always seek the advice of a professional in the area
