This is a great place to raise a family! I have raised both of my children here, and I also teach here. We have the best schools, shopping, and entertainment within minutes from home! The parks and rec department is also fabulous! They offer sports programs for all ages, pools, fitness programs, and excellent parks! We also have a state-of-the-art walking/biking trail that goes for miles and miles (Big Creek Greenway.) I am selling my home, but I will stay in this same zip code in a smaller place! Come check out my home! The Greenway comes right to my neighborhood! 5725 White Creek Run.

It is up to the individual to make their own determination about a specific area. If a real estate agent were to comment on such a thing, it could be steering which is a prohibited act.

I have lived in Cumming since my son was 14 Months old. He is now 17 and a junior in high school. I grew up in a small town in Texas, where everyone knew what was going on and looked out for each other. That is how I feel about Cumming. My son Jake goes to Central High School, which is very good in some ways, but I would like to hear more about your kids, their ages, etc., to guide you to the best schools that meet YOUR kids needs. We love it here, and as a real estate agent I looked at every possible place to raise my son, & I chose Cumming because of the small town atmosphere, the schools & the convenience to the rest of Atlanta.
Please let me know if I can help you in any way in finding your new home.

The best value in Metro Atlanta. Vickery ES & MS and West Forsyth HS are top 100 schools. It's close to 400 for a commute south to North Point Mall, Perimeter Mall, Lenox Mall and Atlanta and north to Lake Lanier and the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. I live here and my children attend all 3 schools. We have two county parks for sports and one private for soccer only and also a new ice rink. A new shopping venue called The Avenues gives you some great choices in your own backyard. The newest development Vickery Village is a wonderful live/work subdivision with plenty of green space and restaraunts/stores/YMCA /retail. They have town homes and Charleston style homes. There are plenty of subdivisions in all price ranges, most have swim and tennis. There are also several choices for private schools close by and some homes without subdivisions. Let me know if I can help you further.

Yes, it's a great community, depending on what you are looking for...a little bit country, a little bit suburbs. Some areas are "horse farm" dominated and you are near Highway 400 which will take you into downtown Atlanta. Lake Lanier, the largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi is nearby as are the North Georgia mountains.

Let me know if I can help you find your dream home here!
