I don't know but I can't afford to pay any more taxes. Cut out every program that is not basic studies. If you want the Arts, let the parents of the students who want them pay for them. See how many will want it when it comes out of their pockets.
School taxes on real estate must be eliminated, especially if they are producing inferior education.
The next time they have a rally ask those in favor of more taxes if they are property owners. See if they will be willing to cast the first coin for their children if they are not property tax paying citizen. Stop using the students as as an excuse to raise taxes because you will be depriving the poor children from getting an education. If the education is inferior it must mean we are doing something wrong. Don't continue to raise and waste more money and think that is the answer. Spend the money wisely on the basics. The artfully talented will strive on their own with a better understanding of a basic education. All the added programs are distractions from their real educational needs.

Because more than 25 percent of Upper Darby Township consists of rental properties and apartment buildings which house more than one student ,which is a strain on school resourses and amounts to the fact property owners are left footing the bill .Also the school district does not enforce the requirement that students that attend UDSD actually live in the area . So you will continue to see your taxes rise because it is easier to raise the taxes then confront the real issues .

Thanks for your response and it really makes so much sense. Our taxes go up every year and the only way you MAY (and I say May, because most likely our grips will fall on deaf ears), if you have your home re appraised (which BTW will cost you over $400), out of your own pocket, you can then go to a school board meeting and take it up with them. Depending on the weather, they will either shoot you down or may lower you $100. This is why most people will not bother. We all need to one day Say, WE ARE DONE PAYING!!! Then all the welfare recipients have to go BACK TO WORK!
