There are many areas to choose from that are close to Thousand Oaks, so my first question would be to determine what price range you're looking for. Once that is known, then you can look for the best schools that fit your financial requirements.

Areas close to Thousand Oaks would include Westlake Village, Camarillo, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Moorpark and Agoura for starters. Most of the schools in these areas are highly rated.

Happy house hunting!

Hi Simine:
All the schools in this area are rated very high. However, I believe the best school district is Las Virgenes. Here is a link to their website http://corp.lvusd.org/. I have lived in this school district since 1976 and my son currently attends Agoura High School so I can speak from both personal experience and their high academic ratings. Here is my contact information if you would like to discuss the schools and local areas. I would love to work with you on your relocation.

Hi Simone, There are a number of great schools and areas in the Conejo Valley. Not only am I a Realtor in the area and live in neighboring Simi Valley but I grew up in TO and attended middle school and high school there. The very best way to determine if a school meets your standard is to look at the web site that contains individual school information. Select a few schools that you would be happy with and then look at homes in that area. The web site for the school district also include a "by street" index that you and your Realtor can use to determine what areas you can look at. If you would like help with receive automatic emails about homes for sale in the areas you determine meet your school criteria, I would be happy to set you up to receive that information or answer any other questions you have for me. Normally I include a link to my web site so that you can reach me directly. Since I used the web reference for the Conejo School district link, you may need to cut and paste this http://www.SterlingLiving.com into your web browser to reach me. I know that many parents move to the Dutch Haven or Dos Vientos neighborhood, in Newbury Park for their schools and their newer Parks and Rec services. Conejo has excellent extracurricular activites available through their parks and rec, much more extensive than many other areas. Let me know if I can help you further.
