I attended Broughton and that seems to still be popular & high school of choice currently in the Raleigh area. Give me a call or email if you want to know more about the area. I grew up in Raleigh and attended the Wake County Public School system. Go to http://www.wcpss.net and you will find a wealth of information on the schools. There are a lot of great choices and with the Magnet program you can choose specific programs of learning, such as Leadership, Engineering, etc.

You will LOVE it here and your child will get a great education!

I would say Daniels middle school, Wiley elementary, Brougton high school. That is all subjective of course.

This is a tough question because favorites have a tendancy to change from year to year. When we moved here in 1993, the 'favorite' elementary school was in Apex, Middle School in Cary and High School in Raleigh. Why were they favorites? It depended upon who you talked to. The key is that we have a County wide school system and the vast majority of the schools are on a pretty on an even keel. You also have the option of applying for and sending your children to any of the Magnet schools in the county and they all have some specialty..whether it be science, foreign studies etc. Depending where you live, bussing may or may not be available from where you live.

If you sign on to my website at http://www.RaleighHomeSite.com , you'll find links to the Wake County Schools website which will be your best resource. If there is anything more you require, please don't hesitate to contact me personally. Best wishes, Ernie

There are so many choices in Wake County! In one given neighborhood children could be attending several different schools; base school, magnet school, year round or charter school!
You do need to be informed and go to http;//www.wcpss.net
My children attended the year round school. It was an awesome experience. That track 3 made it seem private. The group was tight and parents very involved

It's all about choices and we have those!

I would love to help you gain an understanding!

Interesting question. There are a number of excellent schools in the area. I recently attended a presentation by the Wake County School System in which I was brought up to speed on the latest adjustments to the school assignment program in the area. I have had clients who preferred one school over another but not everyone preferred the same school. Perhaps the Wake County Public School Magnet program or the Early College program or the Leadership Academy program would interest you. For more information, please visit the Wake County School System web site at http://www.wcpss.net. I assume you are considering moving to the area. I would be happy to help you with your home search. Please give me a call or email. I look forward to hearing from you.
