I'm guessing you have already found an answer to this, but on the tiny chance that you're still looking, consider this one:

The K-12 + Christian is somewhat limiting. If you're willing to go K-6 or K-8 there are many good Christian schools, and there are also plenty of good Christian schools that are 9-12. I was president of the National Presbyterian School for two years. Among our board resources we count these as being highly relevant:

Hello Wendy,

For the reasons mentioned below I am not going to give you the name of a "good" christian school - too dependant on perspective, in between other things- - but I will give you this site:
which contain information about private schools in Northern VA and much more....

Feel free to call me with any questions. I could direct you to other sites that will give more information on the subject(s) you want. If it make any difference or make you feel more comfortable I speak Spanish also.

Hi Wendy,

I understand you are returning to the DC area, and since your search sounds like it will be centered around a christian school, I'd like to set you up with a ListingBook account so you can search homes in our area just like an agent. ListingBook is free to my clients, and provides a lot of community info, along with comps, maps, active listings, solds, and so much more....and it pulls directly from the MLS, providing fresh data, unlike Trulia, Zillow and other online sites. Please let me know if this is of interest to you and Ill get you registered asap. To get more info on schools, http://www.greatschools.org. Please know you can call me any time to talk more about home in and around Alexandria, as well as all over Northern VA, DC, & MD. Our team has grown, so we have agents licensed in all 3 areas, should you want to explore homes outside of Alexandria, VA. We are ClientCentric, and when you meet us or work with us, you will see what we mean! Hope to hear from you!

There are a few great private schools...for instance, Bishop Ireton for high-school, St. Stevens is supposed to be a great for K-8th grade.

Please call me, Bruce Ryan with RE/MAX Allegiance, at 703-843-1420 to discuss in more detail.I have lived in the Alexandria area my entire life and can help you find schools based on the neighborhoods/subdivisions you like best. You may also email me at: Bruce.Ryan@RmxTalk.com.

Hi, Wendy. I'm on Medicare, so I'm a little out of it when it comes to evaluating schools outside of the Arlington area, where I live. That being the case, I have found a bunch of Web-based resources for doing this. The Web site, the URL of which should appear with this E-mail, is a pretty good source for parent evaluations of private schools.

I don't know how long you have been away from the area, but in the last two years, major construction projects have and are continuing to have major bad impacts on traffic here in Northern Virginia. The County and Virginia Department of Transportation Web sites are must-visits. I would take one more step: I would go to the Washington Post's (sorry!) Web site, and look at the Doctor Gridlock columns and correspondence for the last six months. You can always contact me with any specific questions you may have, Wendy.

Wendy-welcome back to Northern Virginia. As Bonnie did you should search for schools that meet your criteria. A Realtor® can not give you any direct school recommendations without finding themselves in front of the association board for an ethics violation. Once you have found a school or schools that meet your criteria then it will be easy to assist you in finding a neighborhood that is close by. You will find a wide range of choices and your price point will then be a final determining factor as to which one will meet your needs.

Glad to hear you are moving back to the area! As you may already know, Northern VA has some of the greatest schools systems in the country. There are several private schools in the area; however, there are a handful of school systems that work from pre-k to 12. I would like to know more about some of your needs and wants before I blindley recommend you towards any neighbhorhoods. Feel free to contact me with more information about what it is you are looking for and I can guide you towards what you're looking for.

Having "googl'd" christian schools in 22310, there was a list of them... you would be able to review info by doing the same & then make contact with the schools to make sure it would be a good "fit" for the children.
I own a home in 22314--Alexandria-- & have 28yr experience in the area. Feel free to call on me for further assistance.
