Both of my children have food allergies and I have always felt that they are safe. I believe the schools as well as the community are sensitive to the matter.

Debbie gave the best answer. But I do want to add that my 13yr (8th grade now) godson also has a peanut allergy. It has never been an issue. I believe they put wipes in the rooms that have allergy kids. At lunch they have a nut free table and can invite a friend to sit with them. They don't have to sit at that table that I know of, but it does give them a safe zone.

The Windham Schools take a lot of precautions to protect the children. Once they know what allergies the child has, they work with that. They are great in that way.

Every school within each school district has their own policies on food allergies. It's best to contact the school your child would be attending. Windham school district main phone # is:(603) 425-1976
