Here is the state's report on Price Middle School, http://www.doe.k12.ga.us/ReportingFW.aspx?PageReq=101&PI
You will see that the school did not make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for 2009-2010 school year; AYP status for 2010-2011 is not yet available. At that report click on the tab that says "Academic Performance," and you will be able to see information for how the students at the school fared in the areas of mathematics and language arts. In the area of mathematics, for example, you will see that more than a third of the school's students scored "Basic" on the state's end-of-year exam; the state does not want students scoring "Basic" but rather "Proficient" and "Advanced." These mathematics scores caused the school to miss making AYP.
I hope that this was not too technical and of some help. When you visit Price, I might ask how they worked this past year to improve the mathematics scores on the end-of-year test. Good luck!
