Just wanted to clarify as we will be new to the area in June (Australians), that public schools are zoned?

Asked by melandkent, Zionsville, IN Mon Mar 3, 2014

If this is the case should we be choosing a school, then trying to find a house in that school district or find a house and then go to the school in that area?

Hello Mel & Kent,
Both of your thoughts are very good. If you want a particular school you should probably choose that first. There are several nice homes or chances to build near the school of your choice. On the other hand. If you feel your home is more important than which school, then pick the house first. It just depends which is your primary motivating factor. All of the schools in Zionsville are great. I live and work in Zionsville, primarily for my 3 children to benefit from the schools. I am certain you will be very happy here.

What part of Australia do you come From? I attended school in Frankston, Victoria; for one year. It was brilliant! I look forward to meeting you as fellow Zionsville residents. If I can be of any assistance or if I could help you as you buyer's agent/ Realtor, please let me know. If relocation is a factor, I am on the corporate relocation team. I can be reached at 317-258-1768 or jabney@prudentialindiana.com.

Friends:

Thanks for the question.

You can actually make your decision either way.

If there's a specific school you'd like kids to attend, we can use that school's boundaries as part of our search criteria.

Or, if you're OK with any school in the district, we can choose to look at any home and be guaranteed to be within that district.

We can easily specify a school district as a search criteria. Or, for a more refined search, we can draw in a particular school's boundaries on a map and search only within that shape.

If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Good luck in your move!
