1140 Rosewood is in the Donald Lum school district. This school's API score was 821 for year 2006. There are couple of schools above API 900 in Alameda.

I have lived in Alameda all my life and worked in the school district. Alameda seems to be very different than other cities. We never tell a potential buyer that their children can attend the school closest to the home they plan to purchase because the classes could be full. In that case the children will have to attend a school in another district. If this is important to you as a buyer, call theAlameda School District and find out the status of enrollment. One east end school had parents standing in line for hours to enroll their children. We have good API scores in Alameda schools.

As the current owner of this property, I can tell you that my children attend Franklin Elementary school. All of the information from the agents below is true and all information should be verified by the Alameda Unfifed School District regarding grades being full and the possibility of students attending other schools.

Hello Deepak,

To confirm this property's school district it would be in your best interest to contact the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) at 510.337.7072.

You may also want to visit the school district's website at http://www.alameda.k12.ca.us/ for more information on Alameda schools and for enrollment information. The AUSD website does contain a link to their Attendance Zones map. You may preview the map using the referenced link below.

Happy house hunting!

You really should call the school district to verify. No agent in this city, that knows this city will ever state that buying a home falls into one school area or another. If you bought under the premise that your children would attend a school close to the home you purchased and you find out that school does not have an available seat(s) and you have to send your children to another school your going to be very unhappy.
