I've lived in Parkdale for a year and 3 months and I love it. I have enjoyed my neighbors, the peace and quiet, the large shady trees, the well maintained older quaint homes, and proximity to downtown Dallas. I just bought a house a few blocks over from where I've been living! I intend to stay here for a good long time.

Everyone has different priorities and values.
I think the area offers some nice amenities like access to White Rock Lake.
Getting your kids out to play, run, hike, walk, skate, ride, sail, and garden seem like good values to me.
This area is a great place to do that.
I agree with Brian, it really depends on your needs. I know the area well, there are some nice houses over there. I am a native of the East Dallas area, which is just north of Parkdale/Urbandal. If you would like to see what is availble there, I would be happy to help you.

I have always liked the White Rock lake area. Urbandale and Parkdale are just south of that. A "good place to raise a family" all depends on your particular family needs. What is important? Access to parks? Schools? Safety?
I would be happy to set up an appointment with you to go over all of your questions regarding your individual and family housing needs. Just give me a call or shoot me an email.
