203-977-4465 will bring you to the office that can answer everything on registration and districting. From there you can see the districting lines easier, addresses that fall under any given school and the registration process. I'd gladly help if you need to be directed to any specific people at govt center/board od ed.

Ashish,
Check out http://www.stamfordpublicschools.org. They have information on the magnet schools in Stamford. I would suggest you call the school directly for information on how to enroll.

Here is the state-related site to which Timothy referred, http://sdeportal.ct.gov/Cedar/WEB/ct_report/SnapshotSelect.aspx. On the left you can scroll to Stamford schools and then look at reports for individual schools, such as Westover. Unfortunately this site, which is called CEDaR (CT Education Data and Research) is clumsy and takes some getting used to; for example there is no neat and tidy PDF for each school that provides an overview of performance data, as some state department of education sites have.

Good luck with your research - and a link to my blog is below. I am a long-time K-12 educator that tries to provide parents and others with really good and actionable information on schools and school districts. All the best.

Hello Ashish,
As Timothy stated, Westover Elementary is a magnet school where a lottery is held to determine which students can attend. There may be a few streets that are assigned to the school that are located close to it.

Here is a link to Stamford's public schools web site where you will find some additional information about it and the link to the Westover school:

http://www.westovermagnet.org/

Hope this helps.

Ashish,
Westover is a magnet school with a lottery system that keeps enrollment open to all areas of Stamford. Please check the drawing dates of the lottery so that you may be clear about the deadlines for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years. 06902 is an zip code that covers ares from the Cove to Glenbrook Rd and many other areas. On most all listings, realtors put Per BOE. They do not list specific schools. I encourage you to go to stamfordpublicschools.org and do an address/school lookup for any property that you are interested in. The state dept of education website has an abundance of data on its website relating to the CMTs and trends in learning. The Stamford Public Schools has recently published several articles in The Advocate outlining achievement. Periodically, the SPS does redistricting. It is well worth the research in the school system as well as all that will be needed in your home search. As a realtor and educator in Stamford I am proud of the progress and achievement that the SPS has made.
