I noticed William B. Wade has high grades. How about Westlake High? how is it compared to the other schools in the area?

Wade is one of the best schools around. Charles County in general has very good public schools. that is why so many people are moving the county. North Point is a newer school, and has a good reputation. A school can get better with the parents involvement as well.

go to http://www.ccboe.com for information about the public schools in Charles County.

Westlake was, when it opened one of the best in the county, but now I would say it ranks near the bottom. The school can't even field JV teams for some of its sports teams because there is a lack of interest. The neighborhoods surrounding the school used to be some of the finest in the county, now crime & a thug culture is commonplace,

Cwo's assessment is correct. Not only did my daughter research the area when thinking of moving, frequent police activity and candid conversations with residents revealed the same thing - 'Don't go there.'
