Here is the one that my kids go to. They were zoned for PS 21, but our son got into the alpha program at 209, and then his younger sister got a sibling transfer because the logistics were horrible.

Anyway, I would have been happy with PS 21 or PS 209, they are both excellent schools. District 25 is a GREAT value for the money that you will pay, I think.

District 25 is the second best district for a school in Queens, District 26 is the best, overall. However, some schools in District 25 are as good or better than some in District 26. What often drags down district 25 scores is the English part, as many students are relatively recent arrivals from non-English speaking countries.

Full Disclosure- I live and send my kids to school in District 25, and I am quite happy with the schools here. But then again, my neighborhood schools are not overcrowded, wheras some District 25 schools are overcrowded. Check out:

Hi Sandra, please visit my website, I have resource links to the DOE (Department of Education).

By the way I live about 1/2 mile from District 25 and showing you some homes would be quite simple.

Sandra,

In addition to the info on Gail's site, attached is a link to District 25 w/a map and links to school level data. The DOE site has the same info for all the other districts. Additionally, you can do your searching by zip code. It's a pretty nifty site. Good luck.

Realtors are not allowed to comment on neighborhoods or schools. If you go to http://GailGladstone.com, you can click on "school info" and get a good report card. There are many school report card locations on the internet as well
