How are these teachers able to be so effective if they have fifty students per educator?

Mindy,

Fifty students in an academic classroom is more than excessive. You are on the mark with your belief that as the number of students increases the effectiveness of the teacher decreases. However, there may be non-academic settings in education when larger group sizes are not necessarily negative......gym, study hall, choir, band & orchestra etc.

You might want to confer with statues of state regarding number of educators vs. students per class. However if extra class out side of normal ISD requirements could be a different subject matter. Check with school, ISD or state
