Not only should you visit the area at different times, take the opportunity to speak with folks who live there ... they'll be happy to share their experiences (both good and bad) with you. Just a thought ... the price of the home is about half that of the median property in Houston. Do your research carefully ... best of luck.

One of the better ways to find out about the neighborhood is to drive around there at different times of the day and on different days of the week to give you a better feel of what that neighborhood is really like. Only you will be able to tell if it feels like 'home'.
