Can anyone tell me anything about the Catholic high schools on the Northeast side of Indianapolis?

Asked by Sandi, 20854 Thu Feb 19, 2009

How strong are the academics? Are they difficult to get into?

Hi Sandra, Thanks for asking.

I'm not sure how far north and east you want to go, but here is a list you can
depend upon serving that general area.

Cathedral High School, 5225 E 56th St, Indianapolis, 542-1481 (56th St / 465)
Chatard High School, 5885 Crittenden Av, Indianapolis, 251-1451 (Broadripple area)

Cathedral: 100% Graduation Rate; 100% of Students are accepted into College or University
Letters of Recommendation required in application process
(my father attended)

Bishop Chatard: 99% Graduation Rate; 98% of Students went on to College or University
Placement Test part of application

Both schools enjoy a strong athletic department and both are highly respected. Graduates at both
schools win a LOT of scholarships and are justly proud of the academic programs.

If you are anticipating a move here, I would be happy to help you locate good homes in either or
both districts. Of course I will send those homes to your email, so you can begin your neighborhood
education process before you ever get to town.

I have included all the contact info for both schools. There is another highly regarded Catholic High School
in Hamilton Cnty. But I have only included the ones located on the north east side of Indy, per your request.

I would be happy to serve you.
