From what i was told by a cop when i first moved to Sav. was NO state streets. and nothing thats passed waters. i did live on the basic corner of w37th and MLK.. yeah id never f*cking do that again. car accidents like.. every other day. that intersection is CRAZY. my neighbor was a drug dealer. i had to yell at him plenty of times for parking in my drive way.. i had one, he had to park behind his house.. omg i got so tired of it. thank god i own guns and keep to my self. i did thwart 2 break in attempts in his house.. even tho he was a drug dealer. B&E isnt cool. i am currently out of state, but moving back. im looking for hinesville. or something else.. the crime has got really bad in town and the cops are corrupt as hell. the mayor was kicked out, the chief of police was fired. cops were letting drug dealers deal drugs.. its terrible. i suggest reading the online news paper.. see all the crime. ... more

Eva, I have noticed you have asked a variation of this question many times as of late. I am sure you are finding out that searching for a place to live can be daunting on your own. Realtors and property managers can run searches specie to your needs. Wether it be rental or purchase. If you would email me the distance from the school you would like to be I can run the search for you and save you a lot of time.

A little added info for you:

Hi Latasha,

You can always go to the Chatham County Tax Assessor's site to look at the property record card. From there click on the "SAGIS" tab in the middle of the page under the home's photo. That page will show you home details like schools, commissoners, etc.

If you have any other questions or need anything you can feel free to call our State Farm office at 912-351-6800. Our agent is Johnny Moran and I am his office manager, Erin. Or you can email me at More details can be found at

Have a great Monday!

Good morning, Melanie. I represent Fred Williams Homebuilder, and my primary subdivision is located in Effingham County, which is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Area (comprised of Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham counties). The largest city in Effingham is Rincon, and it is approximately a twenty-five minute commute to downtown Savannah (in traffic). Effingham County is rated as one of the top public school systems in Georgia, and I think that you may find the rankings at easy to read and informational. Effingham County also has very competitive sports programs.

I have written a blog about this local area that you might find helpful. You can find it at .

Good luck to you in your search for a new home!
