Full Service Real Estate agencies generally charge from 5-7% as a Real Estate Services fee depending on the agent/company. There are also discount brokers that may charge less of a fee as well for limited services and exposure. You will also have to pay a Real Estate attorney to represent you ($500-$1000 depending on attorney) and Real Estate Transfer Tax ($4 per $1,000 in sale price). Keep in mind that you will be reimbursed for any remaining heating fuel oil in a tank (if applicable) and any property taxes paid in advance. If you are thinking of selling a home, I would love an opportunity to interview for the job. You can contact me at anytime by phone/text at (518)852-4408 or by email at ... more

No. It is not the responsibility of the agent to decide on an offer from a prospective buyer. The agent has a fiduciary responsibility to his client buyer to present any and all offers to the listing agent. The owner of the property decides whether to accept , reject or counteroffer the buyer's offer. ... more

Make sure your status is showing correctly. If it shows 'temp off the market' or 'closed' for some reason, you won't see it show up until the status is 'active'.

My NC Homes Team answered:
Absolutely not. You need to have a serious conversation with your Realtor and perhaps include the Broker in Charge of the office. This indicates inexperience as well as a complete lack of professionalism. They should have been present to allow them in and then locked up after them. If you allowed this to happen however you share some of the blame as you had the right to simply say no. ... more

Victoria Romeo answered:
Hi Graham,

Trulia and other sites like Zillow pull from the Realtor's Multiple Listing Service. However, the update time is normally about 24-48 hours depending on when the Realtor changed the MLS in the system. Give it a couple of days. If your Realtor only updated the price yesterday, it should appear here shortly.

Good luck selling!
