You'd really need to check the specific rules your Sothebys franchise has. It may not be owed to you anymore if you are not working with them now.

There is never a bad time to enter the real estate profession.
Lots of professionals did very well when the Bank of America melt down occurred.
Let's be realistic. 95% of newly minted agents never see their second year anniversary. Agents keep advising these newbies to 'get more training' and decade after decade 95% leave the business believing the competition was too great.
Real estate businesses do not fail becuase of competition! They self-destruct!
"Wad I Think" you need to do is buy a cheese danish at Panera bread for a few professional in your area and ask them the important questions about the real estate business. If they chat about training or splits you are talking to one of those who are contributing to the 95% failure rate.
As a PR PRO, the secret is right up your ally. Then, you can focus on your broker selection which must be based on RESULTS.

Best of success,

In a "Hot" market, sometimes the AVM is the best estimate, as it takes into consideration other variables rather than just comps.

Whilst Brazil and Canada are strong international buyers. I would love to see the stats on Brazilian buyers in the area. I have contacts in Rio and as a general rule they purchase in Miami.

Wealthy Europeans are looking to put their money into the dollar as they are not looking for the traditional holiday homes in Europe anymore as they feel prices are overpriced for the quality of the real estate, and they like the idea of buying in an area where there is sun, beaches, golf and general infrastructure, and affordability and they can come for a few months in the winter and their families can use the properties in the summer.

I just thought it would be a great idea to showcase Sarasota in the Florida Pavilion which is dominated by Orlando, not everybody wants that area, and it would be an affordable way of exposure especially with the editorial in the magazine.

Bill Eckler answered:

We believe you would be viewed as "very desirabe" by most area RE companies. Most agencies have associated their productivity to the number of agents they can attract....."the more the merrier" approach.

Our recommedation is to take your time collecting information, interview in a number of locations, taking care to find a location where you feel you will fit in. There is no substitute for having open conversations with "Top Agents" that have been around for a while and are willing to share their insight.

We would be happy to hear from you whenever you are ready.

Good luck,
The Eckler Team
