$500 a month is more realistic on a condo rental in the 34235 area code. As already mentioned, A typical 2 bdrm/2 bath condo in say The Meadows rents on an annual basis for say $1250 per month. Monthly condo fees can easily run between $300 and $400 per month. Property taxes and insurance can easily run another $200 - $250 per month. Once you factor in for reserve funds for maintenance of your unit and for income taxes, a net return of less than $500 a month is likely.

Trulia receives listings feed from various sources. It could be the Trulia listing expired, although the MLS listing has not.

I am a Realtor, broker/owner of Sarasota Home Realty and most importantly the owner of a Las Palmas condominium. I am posting because I believe the last comment by "mysecretinfla" deserves a direct response from someone who knows this development and owns in it.

As an owner of a condominium in Las Palmas since 2005, I have had NO problems with either the management or vandalism. In fact, this entire property is gated and has professional management on site during business hours.

Las Palmas does have a parking sticker requirement for all vehicles parked on the property over night. It is important to have a parking sticker on your car and if you do not then your car will probably be towed. The parking sticker regulation is clearly defined. It is on the application for any new owner or tenant and is in my opinion a reasonable rule which is not hard to follow. In fact, most condominiums require parking stickers on all vehicles parked overnight on the property so this is not an unusual or difficult rule.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. I am not sure why "mysecretinfla" has such a sour grapes response to Las Palmas but the fact that he/she is so secretive about their identity should make the reader suspect of this individual.

By they way, I currently have no properties listed in Las Palmas so this is not a posting with the hope that you would buy my listing. It is simply and honest and straight-forward response because I believe Las Palmas is being unfairly represented by this unknown poster.

Yes, there are pet restrictions. I advise you to check with the HOA regarding specifics. Please check my website for listings in The Meadows. Go to click on Golf Course Communities, Scroll Down to the Meadows. Click on that and you will see all of the current listings. As of this a.m. there are 31 listings including Single family homes, condos and townhomes.
