It is a new school focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics-the first of kind in the San Ramon School District. We moved our 2nd grader from Hidden Hill Elementary (you can find the score of that school online), which was within our walking distance.... more
Due to the popularity of the high ranking schools in the Gale Ranch and Windemere Communities there seems to be a problem with overcrowding but mostly in elementary schools. I don't think there will be an issue with Gale Ranch. From what I've heard there is more students enrolled in Windemere Ranch compared to Gale Ranch. My oldest used to attend Windemere Ranch but will be attending Dougherty Valley High this school year. His little brother goes to LIve Oak Elementary. By the way, most of San Ramon schools are top ranking. Can't go wrong with finding quality education in San Ramon. That's the reason we moved there.

There is a time cutoff as to what age your child needs to be 5 by...you'll have to check with your school. In my sons school, the child must be 5 by December in order to enter KG. Also, it depends on the individual child as well if he/she is ready for it but if they have already attended pre-school for at least a year, they should do well in KG. I speak from experience as a mom of 3 little boys :) good luck to you
According to Marsha Mak, Venture's school counselor 20% of graduating students go on to 4 year universities and 68% go on to 2 year junior colleges. I personally know several families who have sent their children to Venture for various reasons and have been very pleased with their program. I hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions about San Ramon or the surrounding area.
The schools in Gale Ranch, are some of the Top Schools in California. That is why we are getting multiple offers on homes right now. Remember Vansun that Location, Location, Location, is the first thing they teach you, when you get in Real Estate. San Ramon is definitely in the right Location, because of the schools.
When can you go look at homes, and see for your self, how beautiful Gale Ranch is. You couldn’t ask for a better community to raise your Family. I look forward to meeting you and your family.

Nope. There just aren't that many homes out in that direction - just the Norris Canyon community, so there probably won't be a school out there for a very long time, if ever. People carpool to get their kids to school. If you like the Norris Canyon homes, but want nearby schools, the Pinnacle at Dublin Ranch by Toll Brothers are the same homes, with John Green Elementary and Fallon within walking distance, and those school scores are as high or higher than the schools in San Ramon.... more
Yes I have to agree with your assements about mortgage getting 10X harder to get and it will be that way for a while+ you need 20% down for declining market . I am personally waiting as I beleive the ARMS reset for the 2006 borrows will hit he foreclosure market and will put a down ward pressure on price.
San Ramon, Dublin, Danville are declining market according to lenders.
How good a school is depends on who attend the school, do you think people just cross the street are really different? We live in Windemere, and our resident school is Hidden Hills, but my daughter is overflown to Quail Run this year (she will be back to Hidden Hills next year). We like the school, and really thought about if we should transfer her back. I would say schools around Gale Ranch/Windemere are at same level. Why Qual Run's API is lower, I don't know, but API isn't the only thing to measure how school performs.... more
for your kid to attend WRMS, you have to reside in boundary of Live Oak and hidden hills Elementary. Both these schools are located in Windemere. So, YES, you have to buy in Windemere. BTW, WRMS is associated with DVHS, so your kids will not go to California High.
Previuosly, Gale Ranch residents were atending WRMS. Coming fall, Gale Ranch middle school is opening. So, those kids will be part of new middle school... more
