You are absolutely correct about homes not selling to well with pools in the East Bay. I believe it is multifold....our climate, liability and families with children. It seems that the buyer either wants one or does not. If there is a pool and it is not completely fenced then most of my buyers want to fence it for safety and liability. Pools always seem to have sold better in Southern California or warmer climate. The best season for selling a home with a pool is spring to late summer.
