When looking to build your own custom home there are many different factors that can come to play in estimating cost. First is the land you want to build on, if it is already suitable or if it need to be built up and leveled for a home, utilities need to be brought to the site, if septic is required or city plumbing.

Then you also have to have plans drawn up which can vary based on what you are wanting. As building material and labor costs are going up, you also want to look at the finish-outs are going to be.

I would be happy to talk to you about the benefits and see what kind of costs are going to expect in your custom home. Please feel free to contact me.

This section of Deerfield proper is only accessible from Huebner and Bitters Rd. The easiest (less traffic) route is to follow Thrush Ridge to Bitters and turn left. Then turn an immediate left at stop light on Doe Crest. Then right on to Deer Crest and pool/clubhouse is on the left.

Libby and I live on Fox Tree just across from the pool/park. For more information about Deerfield go www.GetRossNow.com or visit the Deerfield Facebook page at Deerfield San Antonio, TX

In Terrell Heights. The Average rent in the past 6 months has been around $1,452 but that is of all home in that area. Price varies based on how many square feet you have, exact location in Terrell Heights, a house or condo, and if it has been remodeled. If you know how many square feet you have then a good gauge would be around $1.00 to $1.15 / sqft on the rental market. It will give you a good idea but some do rent for a little more and a little less. I have rented and sold multiple homes in the area. If you have any questions please let me know.

This is a sign of appreciation, which is not a bad thing. Your property taxes should not increase more than $300.00 for the year, or $25.00 per month. You can protest the evaluation, but you will need valid supporting comparable sales. I would be happy to look at your property and the available sales data and give your an educated opinion. Keep in mind that you will need to report the improvements you have made, and their estimated value during your protest. Subtracting the new improvements, you stand at an $8,000.00 increase in value which equates to an approximate $240.00 increase in annual taxes. PErsonally, I would strike it up as a win that your improvement at $2,000 netted you an increase in value of $10,000.00. ... more
