How poor is your credit? I would suggest that you talk to a lender or two and go from there.

My husband and i retired in 2015 and considered moving to San Antonio for our retirement.

we determined that if we were to live comfortably, (car, utilities/occupancy, groceries, insurances, etc) we would need about $7000- $8000 per month.

electricity, water and income tax are HIGH on San Antonio.

also too, one needs to show a certain income and post your own deportation fee as bond for X number of years. i do not know what the income is and i do not know what the bond is.

in order for us to live comfortably on San Antonio, we'd exhaust our IRAs and that would not be good. we now are retired and living in FLA.

My medical bill was turned over to collections just after my insurance company and my medical provider cannot comply with the terms of my insurance coverage and i wasn't notified of this till i noticed a bill from my medical provider which was supposedly covered by insurance,it was overcharged and sent to my collection without me knowing,i wish FICO new assessment will cover this practice between the medical provider and insurance companies ,this happening really affected my credit score which i needed to get a car loan, after many attempts writing and calling the hospital to have the bill adjusted and my insurer to have it removed from my collections or to work out a payment method which proved abortive, I contacted an attorney who wanted $1000 upfront to represent me for bankruptcy till a my account manager gave me an off the book advice to contact an hacker who was able to overturn my medial bill from the hospital and radiology company and help raise my credit score to where i needed it to be in less than two weeks, hackhemp(@)gmail(.)com help repaired my credit and raised my credit score above 783 am sure this can help anyone can thank me later. ... more

Unfortunately an offer is not accepted until BOTH parties sign. So far only you signed. You should have put a deadline in your offer instructing the seller to accept, counter or reject it by May 4, 2017 for example (before Open House weekend). I'm guessing there is no deadline which means the seller can wait as long as they feel like it. It's their home and if the don't need to move out and sell immediately, unfortunately there is no rush to sign your contract. This gives the seller time to see if other offers come in and if they are better than yours.

If I were you, I would rewrite my offer and put in a deadline. Also make sure the agent you were assigned to is experienced and works full time.

Unfortunately, we currently do not have listings for rent to own homes. You may try your luck though and search our website using the Keyword section of the search filter which can be found in the All Filters button. However, these listings are extremely rare.

Thank you for using Trulia!

I am in chapter 13 bankruptcy. My attorney states the following regarding our mortgage. "The mortgage company has written off your mortgage, but there is a still a lien on the property. You can negotiate with the mortgage company to release the lien if they deem the payment satisfactory. As Attorney has stated to you, you should save your mortgage payment each month and still pay the taxes and insurance. Because there is still a lien on the property, we still want to make sure that you are covered in case the mortgage company wishes to enforce their lien". Please advise what this means, as I am not understanding the attorney. ... more
